I've just been too lazy to do something with it. Spider-j: There was never my intention to keep this close source. Even the real C64 hardware would struggle with playing it nice and clean for each note of the triplet each time, this new version of Sidplay did extremely well with it, better than the real hardware. I tested this with one of my own SIDs with this (Funkrock) mainly because I wanted to see how it handled the triplets I did with the hi-hat sound. Probably the best SID emulation I've ever heard. Nice universal sid player with clean balanced sound, when you don't need/want to mess around with different 6581 revision filter distortion modeling. I thought that difference was fixed recently? Is this not using the latest reSID?īTW, I assume great discrepancy between 65 volume is emulation of voltage difference but I wonder if making 8580 that quiet is very practical eventually.
